Born in Toronto, Canada, Mark`s interest in music started when he was twelve years old after he appropriated his father`s guitar.  Practicing ten hours a day, Mark then played and performed in various bands with a focus on guitar instrumental music.

Enrolled at the Royal Conservatory of Music, Mark eagerly studied for two years with a focus on classical theory, harmony and piano.

The Royal Conservatory was the beginning of Mark`s musical education which ultimately lead Mark to Boston`s fabled Berklee College of Music, earning a Dual Bachelor`s Degree in Film Scoring and Composition.  While at Berklee, Mark was featured in Guitar World Magazine, in the prestigious Mike Varney Home Town Heroes column for outstanding guitar instrumental composition.

After several years at Berklee College of Music, Mark returned to Canada where he began composing for television commercials, films and multimedia. In 2001, Mark was commissioned to compose a heroic orchestral piece, which was used in the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Games.

During the fall of 2003, Mark moved to Los Angeles to further his film-scoring career.

Today, Mark Daniel Dunnett is continuously dividing his time between Los Angeles and Toronto working on various projects. Mark has composed for numerous films and shows with highlights including: "Boardwalk Poets` starring Daniel Baldwin, "Love`s Devotion Forever" starring Jay Thomas and music for "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and Harpo INC.
